ABOUT ME

My name is Nick Barniville. Together with a network of trusted colleagues, I help universities figure out and implement their online and blended strategy.

After 20 years running management education programs with ESMT Berlin, INSEAD and University College Dublin. I founded the EdTech Lab at ESMT in 2018, building one of Europe's most advanced online and blended learning teams in the management education space.

I am a founder member and former Chair of FOME, the Future of Management Education alliance, a group of 11 universities committed to excellence and collaboration in online and blended learning.

I work with higher education clients to enable their successful transition to online programs, with a focus on the development of alternative business models, program portfolio selection and brand coherence, as well as on online pedagogy and technology selection, and on setting up processes and teams to enable effective online program development and delivery.

I hold an MSc in Political Economy of Development from School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London and a BA from Dublin City University. I speak fluent English, German and French, and can read and understand Spanish. I am also a qualified executive coach.
